As the weather warms, a widely accepted practice among greenhouse operators is to apply a shading material to the greenhouse roof. This reduces the amount of solar radiation entering the structure, thereby preventing excessive heat buildup and rising temperatures. Under these conditions, plants can perform photosynthesis and fruit production more effectively and at higher rates. Uniformity and water resistance are crucial; in this regard, our company’s product, “BLUEFIX,” offers a highly efficient and effective solution.

Providing shade and reducing the intensity of light entering the greenhouse significantly aids in regulating internal temperatures and lowering cooling costs.

Shading a greenhouse does not need to be complex or expensive—the primary objective is simply to reduce the internal temperature.

In the current year (1401), the cost of shade netting is approximately 30,000 to 35,000 Tomans per square meter. In contrast, the cost for a rain-resistant, waterproof powder-based coating is 100 to 120 times lower.

A mesh shade functions essentially like a grid; light passes through the openings in the mesh. As this light travels through the plastic covering, it becomes concentrated into specific spots on the plant leaves, leaving other areas of the leaf receiving no light at all. In contrast, when using a greenhouse shading coating or powder, the light passing through the plastic is distributed evenly and uniformly across the entire surface of the leaves.

Unlike mesh shading, a waterproof greenhouse coating or powder forms a continuous film over the roof, ensuring uniform light distribution throughout the entire greenhouse space. All plants receive an equal share of light, allowing photosynthesis to occur consistently across all leaves. Even leaves located lower down, near the ground, receive some light due to reflection, which ultimately results in a relatively uniform light environment throughout the greenhouse.

BLUEFIX is a cost-effective solution designed to reduce solar radiation. It consists of a shading compound—such as a powder or a waterproof coating—that is applied to the exterior or the roof of the greenhouse. These shading compounds help reflect sunlight before it enters the greenhouse, thereby preventing a portion of the heat from getting inside.
